Fireworks, BBQ, red, white, and blue. These are just a few of the things I look forward to every year on the 4th of July. What could be better than a hot dog or hamburger fresh off the grill? Or corn on the cob with a pat of butter melted over it? Don’t forget the almost obligatory garments with the colors of our flag, or anything with a flag pattern.
While the weather may be blistering outside during the holiday, we’re happy to be out in the sunshine and enjoy the festivities in celebrating our nation’s independence. And now that we’re able to mingle with our neighbors and friends again, we’re more than happy to gorge ourselves on watermelon, potato and pasta salads, anything fresh off the grill and maybe devour a smore or two.
Where To Find Local Fireworks
If you’re looking forward to fireworks this year on a grand scale (who could expect anything less given the year we had in 2020), then going to the Balloon Fiesta Park is perfect for you and your family. The price of admission is $20 per car, and there will be food and activities for the kids.
The Isotopes will be playing against the El Paso Chihuahuas that evening, and they will have their traditional fireworks show after the game as well. So, if you’re jonesing for a hot dog and fireworks, then taking in a ball game could be perfect for you this weekend.
Whatever your plans are for the holiday weekend, make sure to enjoy it safely. Don’t drink and drive, practice social distancing if you’re not fully vaccinated yet, and definitely don’t text and drive.
