Let’s be honest for a minute…being a parent isn’t easy. There’s a meme out there that makes the joke, “Being a parent is a walk in the park. Jurassic Park.” If you have kids, then you know this isn’t too far off. As a single parent, sometimes it feels like I’m being jumped on by the little dinosaurs at the beginning of Lost World (my apologies for the bad movie reference). And I only have one kid!
I’m pretty sure most, if not every, parent wonders if they’re doing a good job in raising their kids. I know I worry from time to time if I’m doing a good job raising a decent human being. Nobody wants their kid to be a jerk, right?
Checkout Pinterest And Google For Some Extra Parenting Tips
Have you ever gone to Pinterest or Google for parenting tips? Have you ever come across mom blogs? I have, and some of them are super helpful, and others just tell you the obvious. But here’s what I’ve found in my search that was constructive, what I really liked and wanted to share with you fellow parents.
If you’re looking for a local blog from a mom here in the 505, look no further than https://albuquerque.momcollective.com. This blog is run by a mom who posts about topics such as delicious tacos to be found around Albuquerque, best dentists and orthodontists in town (braces are expensive, folks), and even important articles about trying to be the perfect mom and having mom guilt.
Stumbling Into The World Of Parenting Blogs
Now maybe you’re starting to stumble into the world of parenting blogs, and you’re trying to find something more in tune with your life. I mean, it’s pretty great when you can find someone who relates to you and your experiences in some way.
In my search for parenting blogs, I came across a website that compiled the top 18 mom blogs that show parenting’s reality for many people. A few are run by couples who are medical professionals. Others are run by moms trying to navigate this parenting thing. One is for parents who have suffered a miscarriage and are welcoming their rainbow babies. Our parents can also agree that parenting is a wild ride and a constant learning experience. As your kids grow and change over the years, there will be events that you never predicted would happen and plenty that will. But what matters is how you handle those situations and the kind of role model you want to be for your kids. They’re looking up to you for guidance, among other things, with those big, beautiful eyes. One of the most important things for you to remember is that you’re not alone as a parent. The chances are that another parent somewhere at some point went through the same thing you are or have.
Remember: “It Takes A Village!”
The team with Albuquerque Plumbing Heating & Cooling lives by the mantra, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Our village is here within our walls, and we help with each other’s kids whenever possible. And each member of our village brings something to the table that might benefit another parent. We’re happy to help not only each other but also our community. Hang in there, parents. You’re doing a great job!
