Last summer, my son desperately wanted to go somewhere or do something, but we didn’t venture past my house or one of his grandparents’ homes. He loves cars and to go to car shows. During the first initial months of the pandemic, he looked at me and said, “Mommy, I want to go to a car show.” I felt bad because I couldn’t take him to one because no one was holding a car show due to COVID.
This year we’ll probably spend our summer moving from our current to our next house. Maybe I’ll take a long weekend and we’ll go to Taos or Santa Fe. Either way, we need to get out and have fun!
What are your plans with your family this summer? Are you going anywhere or staying here in Albuquerque? Or are you traveling somewhere within the state?
Summer Ideas
If you’re staying in Albuquerque, the zoo and the BioPark, Cliff’s Amusement Park, and other attractions are open again. You could also go to Santa Fe for a day and walk around the plaza, or take another day trip somewhere in the state, like the VLA (Very Large Array) outside Magdalena, New Mexico.
Now that airlines are starting to see passengers happily book tickets again, are you planning on flying somewhere exotic or exciting? Or are you thrilled to just be traveling to see friends and relatives that you couldn’t visit during the pandemic?
Summer is a favorite season for the team with Albuquerque Plumbing Heating & Cooling, and we’re looking forward to getting out there again! We’re ready for BBQs with friends and family, car shows, seeing movies in theaters again, and other fun activities. We’re also excited to see you again and spend time with you this summer!
