Ferguson, considered one of the top appliance supply houses in the country, announced the acquisition of Builders Appliance Center (BAC) and Ar-Jay Building Products. With the acquisition of these two large appliance dealers, Ferguson increases its hold on a market they already dominate
BAC is located in Englewood Colorado and is the largest luxury appliance dealer in the state. Amidst the rapidly advancing field of appliance technology, BAC provides builders and designers with quality support and the most up to date inventory. Although BAC has sold itself to Ferguson, the conglomerate promises to uphold the same quality of service and great selection that has made it so successful over the years.
“BAC and Ferguson both share the philosophy that if you take care of your associates, they will take good care of our customers,” said Frank Roach, Ferguson’s CEO.
Ferguson also announced the acquisition of Ar-Jay Building Products, a cabinet, lighting, and fireplace distributor in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Ar-Jay has been serving the community since 1957, and will continue to DBA Ar-Jay under the thumb of Ferguson.
Ralph Palmer, owner of Ar-Jay was asked to comment on the recent acquisition of his company, “I’ve had two wonderful, long and fulfilling vocation in the kitchen and bath industry; 25 years writing the “Closing the Sale” column for Kitchen and Bath Design News, and 47 years of employment developing a wonderful company. In addition, working with my son and keeping Ar-Jay as a family business brought a lot of wonderful feelings to me and our family. Now I have a clean palette and the opportunity to pick my colors and images for the future.”
With the acquisition of these Ar-Jay and BAC, Ferguson moves forward as one of the largest most successful appliance and energy companies in the country.
