Football season is coming to an end this week. The Super Bowl is upon us, and this is going to be an interesting game.
This year the Cincinnati Bengals will play the Los Angeles Rams in one of the biggest games of the year. I’ll be honest with you, guys. I didn’t see this coming. Not this pairing. I imagined the Kansas City Chiefs would be playing because they’ve been a force to reckon with the past few years.
My brother is a huge Chiefs fan, and I picked on him a little bit after finding out that his team wasn’t going to the Super Bowl. What makes it ridiculous is the fact that I don’t follow football. Not one bit.
However, my family is from Dayton, Ohio, which is about an hour and a half from Cincinnati. Growing up, we’d go to baseball games at Riverfront Stadium to see the Cincinnati Reds. This remains one of my favorite memories, and to this day, I’m a Reds fan. Now, if I were a football fan, I’d probably be rooting for the Bengals since I’m from that area of Ohio.
What Are You Doing Superbowl Sunday?
Even though I’m not a fan of football, people still ask me what I’m going to do on Super Bowl Sunday. Usually, the answer is laundry. But in years past I would go to my parents’ house, and we’d hang out and eat while the game was on in the background. Chicken wings, veggies and dip, and other snack foods fill my parents’ kitchen counter while we talk about what’s going on in our lives and occasionally check the score of the game.
So, in other words, I’m the stereotypical person who says, “I only watch the Super Bowl for the commercials, the half time show and the food.”
Speaking of the half time show, did you see who’s performing? When I saw the commercial on Facebook, my jaw dropped, and I thought how cool of a show that will be. I mean, that would be an awesome concert! Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Dr. Dre, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar – talk about an amazing show! For once, I’m looking forward to the half time show!
What about you? What are you looking forward to the most? Are you going to be rooting for one of the teams, and paying close attention to every play? Or are you like me and love the commercials, half time show and food?
The team with Albuquerque Plumbing Heating & Cooling is enthusiastic for the big game this weekend! We’ve been eagerly waiting for the game to see how the season comes to an end. We also can’t wait to see who comes in and gloats about the bets they won because their favorite team won. And we’ll be bragging about the awesome food we had too.
